In accordance with article 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation GDPR, we wish to inform you about our data protection policy in connection with personal data that we collect and process when you visit our website.

We you visit our website, your browser automatically sends the following information to the web server where it is processed:

b. Purpose and legal basis of data processing

Your personal data is processed by us for the following purposes and according to the statutory regulations stated below:

  • Enabling access to our website and its features (legitimate interest: promotion of our services for the purpose of client acquisition and retention)
  • For the operation of our website, we have entered into a contract according to article 28 GDPR with our website hosting partner.

c. Data recipients

Your personal data is processed on our behalf by Alfahosting GmbH, Ankerstrasse 3b, 06108 Halle (Saale), Germany.

d. Period for which personal data is stored and criteria determining this period

Your IP address is anonymized 24 hours after your visit to our website. After 7 days, it is permanently deleted.

Your personal data is deleted the moment you leave our website.

e. Right to erasure and correction; right to object

For the operation of our website, we need to collect certain data and storage it in log files. You have however the right to object to this, and to demand that your personal data is erased or corrected.

 

2.2 Viewing YouTube video clips

Our website includes video clips provided by YouTube LLC.

a. Scope of processing of personal data

When you call up our website, the personal data specified in 2.1.a is automatically transferred to YouTube LLC. YouTube videos are integrated into our website in privacy-enhanced mode. This integration mode ensures that no cookies are set when a video clip is viewed. However, even with privacy-enhanced mode, your browser automatically establishes a connection to the DoubleClick online advertising network. We are aware of this issue, but see no way around it, as, in our opinion, all alternatives to this network have serious disadvantages.

b. Purpose and legal basis of data processing

Your personal data is processed for the following purposes and according to the statutory regulations stated below:

  • Enabling access to our website and its features (legitimate interest: promotion of our services for the purpose of client acquisition and retention)

c. Data recipients

When you visit a page that contains YouTube video clips, your personal data is automatically transferred to YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA, represented by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. This means that data regarding the page you are viewing is transferred to the YouTube servers.

d. Transfers of personal data to recipients in third countries on the basis of an adequacy decision

Google LLC is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus guarantees compliance with European data protection legislation. The Google certificate can be found here.

If you are logged in to your YouTube account, YouTube automatically assigns the personal data collected during your visit to our page to your YouTube account. If you use a YouTube service, for instance by clicking the video start button, this information is also recorded in your user account.

e. Period for which personal data is stored and criteria determining this period

We do not know whether and for how long Google LLC stores the above personal data on its servers.

f. Right to erasure and correction; right to object

To prevent that your personal data collected during your visit to our site is assigned to your YouTube or Google account, you must log out of these accounts and delete the relevant cookies on your device before you call up our website. This also applies to other similar internet service accounts.

g. Limitation of service

Please note that you will not be able to view video clips published on our website if JavaScript is disabled on your device.

2.3 Google Maps

a. Scope of processing of personal data

Our website includes a number of maps provided by Google Maps. These maps make it easier for you to find our offices. When you visit a map page on our website, Google receives data to this fact, and the personal data specified in 2.1 is automatically transferred to the service provider. This happens irrespective of whether you have a Google account or are logged in to this account. If you are logged in to your Google account, the above data is automatically assigned to that account. If you do not want this to happen, you must first log out of your Google account. Google stores your data in the form of user profiles and uses it for advertising, market research and website personalisation purposes. Google analyses your data (even if you are not logged in to your account) for the purpose of contacting you with personalised ads and to inform other users of its social network about your visit to our website. You have the right to object to the creation of such user profiles based on your personal data. To do this, you must contact Google directly.

b. Purpose and legal basis of data processing

We process your personal data for the visualisation of maps in compliance with article 6.1 (f) GDPR (legitimate interest: optimisation of our website).

c. Data recipients

The above personal data is automatically transferred to Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA. If required by law, Google will transfer information obtained from your use of Google Maps to third parties. This also happens where third parties process the data on Google’s behalf. We cannot guarantee that Google will not attempt to link your IP address to other data collected by Google.

 

It is technically possible that Google identifies individual users based on the above data. We have no control over the scope and use of the data collected by Google.

d. Transfers of personal data to third countries or international organisations, including data protection warranties

Goggle processes your personal data in third countries including the USA and is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement.

e. Duration of storage

We do not know whether and for how long Google LLC stores the above personal data on its servers.

f. Right to revoke and right to erasure

If you do not agree to have your personal data processed by Google, you have the option to disable the Goggle Maps service so that no data is transferred to Google. To do this, you must disable Java Script in your browser. Please note that this will prevent you from viewing Google Maps. Google provides the following opt-out function. You have the right to object to the creation of user profiles based on your personal data. To do this, you must contact Google directly.
